BIO
Kirthana Kuhendran
I'm a musician, sound designer and performer. I graduated from Sunway University with a first class honors degree in Contemporary Music (Audio Technology). I'm a resident Sound Designer at theatrethreesixty and a freelance Audio Engineer, Singer and Actor.
My love for theatre and passion for audio made me dive into the sound design realm of the performing arts industry. Some of my works include sound design for theatrethreesixty's "The Hyacinths are Blooming" for the What About Kuching Arts Festival and "The Working Dead" by KuLT Productions which I received a nomination for Best Sound Design in the Musical theatre category of the BOH Cameronian Arts Awards.
On the music side of things; I have a Grade 8 in Pop Vocals and have been singing since the age of 13. My singing experience ranges from rock to musical theatre and even classical where I received a top scorer award from ABRSM. I have performed at venues such as BoboKL, Jao Tim and Merdekarya.
I am also a skilled audio technician. During my course, I was the first Malaysian and only International Student to receive the NAMM's President Innovation Award in California. This further pushed me to work on recording and editing music, voiceovers and operating live sound. I am trained in multiple softwares including Ableton from completing the CAA's Music Production Intake. My most recent work involves the public service announcements for 1 Utama's newest space: PJPAC (Petaling Jaya Performing Arts Centre) and assisting the production of SUMMERTIME by Marco George.
I am constantly working on different projects and enjoy exploring the arts scene through an auditory perspective. I hope to continue growing my career in this space.
